Amy Hanford, Sandwich Artist™

I have worked as a Sandwich Artist™ for 10 months. Prior to working at Subway® I have worked in a call centre, a tattoo shop and various warehouses. The best part of working for Subway® is having a chat with customers, setting yourself goals and making close friends. The challenging part is dealing with complaints to ensure the customer always leaves happy. Working at Subway® I learnt to have confidence.

Klaudia Sawicka, Sandwich Artist™

I joined Subway® in July 2015. It was my first job when I came to the UK from Poland. I started University in Buckinghamshire. During these years I have grown up and learned a lot. Working in the food business is not only about dealing with customers and external entities to the business but also learning how to work with colleagues as a team. You have to take responsibility for your work, be patient and learn how to communicate with people. I still work part time in Subway® with a great team and supporting management. Coming to work never makes me feel bad, I really enjoy the environment. It's great to be here.

Rebecca Leggott, Store Manager

I started my career at Subway® as a Sandwich Artist™ almost 3 years ago, I am now Store Manager for a company that owns and operates many Subway® Franchises. Although there are lots of different roles and opportunities within Subway®, Franchisees can run their business differently. I have been very lucky to have a supportive Management Team who guided and encouraged me to succeed. Be a great team player, work hard and show you want to grow and maybe the next opportunity will be yours!

Emma Hanson, Sandwich Artist™

I started as a Sandwich Artist™ 4 months ago. In the past I volunteered a few hours a week at the British Heart foundation. I have learnt that you need to be able to work well as a team and always keep a positive outlook when dealing with customers. The best part of the job is always having a role to play within the store, engaging with the customers and making sure every one of them leaves happy. Chopping onions is the most challenging!

Samuel Brooks, Operations Manager

I am the Operations Manager for a company that owns and operates a number of Subway® Franchises. I started as a Sandwich Artist® almost 10 years ago, I celebrated my 10-year anniversary on the 31st January 2018. With small companies running a group of stores, you can really have a good working relationship with the Franchisee and get some great training. I was very lucky to have two Franchisees who believed in my abilities and although I grew into my role they were very supportive and kept me on the right path and direction. There are plenty of different roles in Subway® so there is a role to suit everybody. Most Franchisees always look to expand and grow so there are always new opportunities available. Subway® does not just give opportunities to everyone. It’s a two-way street and you have to be driven to want to succeed. Prove you are the one that wants to grow with the company and you are probably most importantly a team player and a leader!
